Inhalation sedation – laughing gas
Inhalation sedation is a perfectly safe means of eliminating dental phobia. The sedation procedure consists in applying the mixture of gases: nitrous oxide and oxygen via face mask. Gas mixture concentration is prepared and controlled by the dentist by means of a special hi-tech device. While a Patient is inhaling gas mixture his/her consciousness and the sensation of pain are limited, however the eye contact and verbal communication with a Patient is maintained, which is very important for his/her comfort and safety. The laughing gas makes Patients become more relaxed and in case of children it often happens that they might even fall asleep and have dreams.
