Digital smile design
Smile makeovers is what we do every single day. And every day we enjoy it more and more. We pay particular attention to making the new smiles of our Patients look natural. The ideal smile should be balanced, the teeth displayed should look harmonious with the face and the gums ought to be properly shaped.
Each person has a different sense of aesthetics, and that means each Patient visualises his/her new smile differently. Modern technologies which we use in our Clinic provide the opportunity to visualise the treatment result so as the Patients could see their future smiles even before we start our work.
The protocol was designed by Dr Christian Coachman from Brazil. It involves making use of regular photographs as well as X-ray photos and diagnostic models. Subsequently, using a dedicated software, we can design a Patient’s smile – its shape, position, size of teeth and their ’emergence’ from the gums – so called ‘pink’ aesthetics. The effect is possible to be shown in two ways; on the monitor screen and as a ‘mock-up’ (prototype) – we fix provisional veneers directly in the patient’s mouth to imitate the final result. Thanks to this solution the Patients even before starting the treatment can determine if the final effect meets their expectations.
